5 Tips To Finding The RIGHT DIY Nail System

One of the most important things I’ve learned trying to find a good affordable system to use at home is that the brands should not be treated equally! Am I right?!

Before you know it, you’ve spent lots of time and money trying out different brands and find yourself extremely discouraged.

Don’t tell me I’m the only person on earth that’s been there!

So, of course, I had to find a product that was affordable and easy to use so I could do my nails at home during my kids' nap time or bedtime.

I’m breaking down My 5 Tips to finding The Right DIY nail system that you can use easily at home while your kiddos are sleeping.

You’ll be able to see how simple it is to do your own nails at home.

Finding The RIGHT DIY Nail System - #1 DECISIONS

First thing you want to do is decide whether you want a Dip Powder System or a Gel System. If you’re looking for something quick and easy, I would start with a Gel System. It has less steps and is very similar to applying regular nail polish.

“Nails are one thing you can get into shape without exercise.”

Finding The RIGHT DIY Nail System - #2 DIP POWDER

If you decide on a Dip Powder System, find out whether or not the system is designed to combine or polymerize. In my personal experience the brands that are meant to combine are easier to work with. The Dip Powder System that I use is a ‘combine’ product which allows you to buff & file BEFORE you activate. In my opinion it is an easier opinion for a beginner.

Finding The RIGHT DIY Nail System - #3 GEL POLISH

If you decide on the Gel Polish System, decide on whether you want a hard or soft gel to work with. In my experience a soft gel is easier to work with. It's very similar to applying regular nail polish. Most Gel Systems do require a UV/LED light - if you don’t already have one, click here for my favorite one I like to use.

Finding The RIGHT DIY Nail System - #4 LIQUIDS

Not all liquids in systems should be treated equally. What I’ve found with trying different systems is that some liquids are thicker than others. Thicker liquids can be difficult to create thin layers, and thinner liquids can cause ‘cuticle flooding’. Find a liquid that is not too thick or too thin. If you haven’t found a system that you love yet, I highly recommend Nail Kandy by Head Kandy. They have the perfect systems whether you’re a beginner or seasoned. Finding The RIGHT DIY Nail System - #5

Find a system that is affordable, doesn’t break the bank. The point of doing your own nails at home is to save time, money and not having to leave your house or schedule around other peoples schedules. If you’re looking to try a DIY nail System or looking for a new one, I highly recommend Nail Kandy by Head Kandy. It’s affordable, the product lasts a LONG TIME and their customer service is TOP NOTCH!
